“Blue Origin: The Movie” to stream exclusively on Amazon

Blue Origin: The Movie, the documentary about the creation and launch of Blue Origin’s first crewed mission to space, will stream exclusively on Amazon Prime Video. Amazon founder Jeff Bezos will act as director, executive producer, and star.

The film traces Bezos’ interest in space travel from a young age, when, as a high school senior, he proposed a park that would orbit the Earth, populated with people. The film then moves to the origin story of the Amazon company, detailing how it devastated hundreds and hundreds of companies and their employees on its way to online shopping dominance - but then, the doc moves on to the good stuff: the launch of Jeff Bezos into space.

The film features exclusive behind-the-scenes access of Bezos training for the spaceflight, along with the 18-year-old son-of-a-billionaire Oliver Daemen, who was also on the 10-minute flight. Two other non-billionaire affiliated crew members are also featured in minor roles.

The movie features exclusive footage of Jeff Bezos donning his spacesuit, walking to the launch pad, entering the launch vehicle, and counting down to 10. It also features an exclusive 10-minute long montage of Bezos inside the vehicle as the spacecraft reaches the Karman Line and then returns, and highlights Bezos exiting the vehicle and enthusiastically high-fiving everyone, and then pulling out his phone and checking Amazon’s stock price.

All Amazon workers will receive a free enhanced Blu-ray version of Blue Origin: The Movie, with director’s commentary by Bezos.

Netflix Afghanistan Finally Adds "Zero Dark Thirty"

Netflix Afghanistan, now operating under Taliban executive leadership, will finally release a streaming version of Kathryn Bigelow’s acclaimed 2012 film Zero Dark Thirty .   "We think enough time has passed since the deep national Afghani sadness over the death of one of its remarkable and uniting citizens, Osama Bin Laden,” said Netflix President Mohammad Wasiq. “Netflix, along with the movie's producers, hopes that Zero Dark Thirty can play a small but significant role in national healing and unite the nation."   The newly-edited  version  to stream on Netflix Afghanistan will remove any negative references to the the Taliban and Al-Qaeda, any revealing exterior shots of Afghanistan, and has also cut out the scenes of torture. The company also added burkas in post-production to cover up any visual references to women. The killing of Osama Bin Laden was also, sadly, left on the cutting room floor. As of press time, bootleg copies of the film were being sold in black...

Taylor Swift to Re-Record Even Earlier Records

Following the successful re-recording of two of her early albums, the artist plans to dig deeper into her catalogue and re-record Pure Fuckery , an album recorded when she was 11.  “Pure Fuckery was recorded in a blur, during a tumultuous time for me,” said Swift.  The lyrics focus on her rejection by the Nashville music establishment at age 11.  “My tapes were rejected by multiple labels when I was 11,” she said, "so I wrote these songs after my mom and I got back from Nashville." The result was songs including “Nashville is Pure Fuckery” and “The Music Business is Pure Fuckery,” recorded in her bedroom studio.  Swift hopes to re-record the songs in a country-pop vein, while maintaining the song titles, which also include the tunes “Karaoke Country Girl,” “Dolly’s Dreams,” and “McDonald’s is Pure Fuckery.”  After this project is released, Swift will reach deeper into her catalogue and re-record her early deathgrind album, Christian Puke , recorded when sh...
